1) Determining the confidentiality, integrity, quality, technical, health and safety aspect of the company.
2) When necessary, updating of test methods and working instructions.
3) Identifying and developing new areas of work and the corresponding test equipment required.
4) Highlighting unusual results and referring them for further investigation.
5) The interpretation of standards in accordance with operating manual.
6) Supervising all work related to the section(s).
7) Training and supervising all staff in the section(s).
8) To conduct internal audits, QC checks, equipment maintenance & calibration, result entry & validation.
9) Performing report issuance (for signatory), purchasing & inventory management, SOP review
10) Ensuring that all equipment in the section(s) are calibrated in compliance to schedule.
11) Ensuring that the requirements of SAC-SINGLAS in the field of bunker oil testing are met
12) Oversight of all the testing in their respective laboratories
13) Checking and signing of all appropriate reports issued by the laboratory.
14) Preparation of standards/media and maintenance of reference cultures/standards.
15) Preparation of general laboratory work like preparation of sample bottles and helping to maintain the cleanliness of the laboratory, equipment and apparatus.
16) Discussing test results with customer as necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Process Technology, Chemical Engineering, Science, or equivalent with 6 years related laboratory experience
• Experienced with method-related tasks
• Possesses SAC Singlas signatory experience
• Interacts with operational personnel, scientific personnel, and department management.
• Optional but with preference, 1 year of team management/leadership skills
