About You

• Have a recognised bachelor\'s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Aspiring or on track to achieve professional qualifications.
• 5+ years experience working on the design of civil engineering: in drainage (essential), wastewater& water (desirable) systems design experience, preferably in the Transport and Infrastructure sector.
• Experience in designing for PUB drainage projects, including PUB standard specifications and details (essential).
• Have strong technical skills and a good level of understanding of standards and local Client requirements.
• Have demonstrable experience in contributing to multi-disciplinary design teams and producing high-quality project deliverables.
• Be a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and written skills.

The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer/Utility Coordinator to join the team to contribute to the delivery of Transport projects, with particular focus on the design of civil infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to work on signature local projects, as well as opportunities to support the delivery of high-profile projects nationally and also globally.

In Singapore, we are currently working on iconic projects in the region such as North-South Corridor, Eastern Region Line, and Jakarta MRT. Civil engineering plays a major part in all of these projects, and you will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of delivering country shaping projects.

Role Responsibilities

• Contributing to renowned, large-scale, Transport projects, delivering design solutions that lead to excellent outcomes.
• Working closely with cross-disciplinary experts to deliver robust, well-coordinated and comprehensive solutions.
• Contributing to internal and external civil engineering practice initiatives to support the pursuit of technical excellence, with focus on opportunities in digital advancement and innovation.
• Independently produce permanent and temporary utilities/drainage/sewer design drawings and supporting calculations for PUB and other agencies\' authority submissions.
• Coordinate with authorities, consultants, sub-contractors, and project team to facilitate the design works and make sure the design is fully coordinated.
• Guide and mentor junior staff to assist in project delivery.
• Lead coordination meetings and presentations with the relevant agencies.
• Liaison with other disciplines to ensure designs are coordinated with other infrastructure requirements.
• Manage and achieve compliance with authority requirements to get an approval for sewer, water, drainage, and other major utilities diversion
• Experience in handling proposals for each utility agency (SPPG, Singtel, water, sewer, other telecom agencies) will be preferable.
• Provide input to the pursuit of technical excellence, focussing on the discipline of design and documentation of Transport buildings, and support existing initiatives in the areas of digital advancement and process automation.
• Represent Mott MacDonald in discussions, meetings, and design
