Process Engineering Specialists is a multi-discipline consultancy providing specialist project management, validation and automation services to our clients throughout Asia’s pharmaceutical sector. We are currently recruiting for the following position based in Singapore:

Senior Commissioning Engineers (Pharmaceutical)

We are hiring Senior Commissioning Engineers with 10+ years’ experience in the hands-on commissioning of pharmaceutical unit operations.

Responsibilities including:

• Working as part of a commissioning team, including operators, mechanical technicians and E&I technicians, to support the safe energisation and start-up of a designated equipment train.
• Each equipment train will consist of head tanks, reactors, crystallisers and filter dryers
• Hands-on, field-based execution role with responsibility for leading the CQ efforts and achievement of the required project quality and schedule requirements.
• Preparation and execution of C&Q documentation in accordance with the project CQ program and to take responsibility for training, replication, consistency and implementation of best practices.
• Work to ensure that the Commissioning schedule and program requirements are being met for their designated equipment group and any exceptions are identified and addressed.
• Ensure that all work is being completed in a safety manner, and to abide by all site safety requirements and procedures
• Provide a strong working technical knowledge of utility and process systems regarding the development of protocols, their execution, and close out.
• Prepare and execute C&Q documentation in accordance with the project C&Q program.
• Work collaboratively with the other project disciplines (e.g. automation, construction, engineering, end user) to support integration of activities.
• Train site personnel and contract hires on the C&Q program and provide oversight and guidance on the C&Q deliverables.
• Review and acceptance of contractor and vendor handover documentation for Mechanical Completion Acceptance.
• Running control modules, equipment modules, phases etc. via a DeltaV DCS system.
• Vendor and contractor coordination and supervision.
  

• Bachelors’ degree in Engineering (Process, Mechanical or Chemical)
• 10+ years of hands-on field-based commissioning experience in pharmaceuticals
• Knowledge and experience of unit operations in an API pharmaceutical environment including organic synthesis plant, milling equipment and solvent systems is required
• In-depth equipment commissioning and startup knowledge and experience with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
• GMP knowledge is required as Installation and Operational Qualification execution is included in the role.
• Working knowledge/ operation of DeltaV automation systems.
