To drive the development of new services in the digital domain, TÜV SÜD established a global Centre of Excellence Digital Service in Singapore with the strategic segments Smart Inspection, Cyber-Physical Systems and Industry 4.0.
We are currently expanding the expert pool of our Industry 4.0 segment and looking for a skilled Industry 4.0 Consultant to help our customers start, scale and sustain their transformation. Specifically, we:
enable companies‘ key stakeholders to speak a common language and provide clear next steps to lead and architect their successful transformation
analyse the current state and derive a strategic future vision, and ideate and evaluate concepts to achieve successful transformation
develop technology roadmaps, workforce skills map and reference architectures aligning to the strategic business objectives
create the digital foundation and demonstrate value by executing selected pilots
scale successful pilots, and other activities across the manufacturing network
introduce and scale latest safety, security and reliability solutions for connected, smart systems
Key Responsibilities
Lead and deliver I4.0 transformation projects to our clients in the manufacturing space including but not limited to technology roadmaps, I4.0 maturity assessments, and implementation support
Consult with clients on envisaging, prioritising, and deploying new technologies, integrated processes, and new ways of working, to successfully accomplish their customised I4.0 transformation and assure enduring impact
Work with manufacturers to define problem statements/value drivers, identify technology-driven improvement levers, and develop business cases for adopting new technologies of automation, connectivity and intelligence
Engage closely with senior client stakeholders and perform advisory roles to drive I4.0 transformation
Engage with clients’ operation staff and translate the vision into actionable implementation plan
Qualify and work with vendors and solution providers to ensure actionable implementation
Develop new consultancy services and businesses in the I4.0 context by engaging relevant stakeholders in the industrial and academic community and establishing effective partnerships in the I4.0 ecosystem
Deliver projects on time and on budget
Develop business with existing and new clients
Qualifications
Key Requirements
Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or Natural Sciences
At least 5 years of experience in the manufacturing and/or industrial sector with a focus on advanced manufacturing, digital transformation, or Industry 4.0 projects
Knowledge of smart automation, intelligent control systems, operations management systems, IIoT, digital processes, or enterprise systems is highly preferred
Project management skills and consultancy/advisory experience
Experience in industrial protocols and interoperability standards for IT/OT convergence solutions would be a plus
Outgoing and positive attitude, independence, high level of integrity, and willingness to go the extra mile to meet internal and external clients’ requirements
Strong communication, organizational and presentation skills, and excellent command of English, both oral and written
Ability to work in international organizations and in multi-cultural teams
Willingness to spend extended times at client sides and willingness to travel
