What the role is:You will lead a team to improve the written quality of our papers on variety of topics and manage the copy-editing team's day-to-day operations.What you will be working on:

• Manage a team of copy editors to provide timely and quality copy editing inputs, and provide guidance that improves the overall expertise of the team. Quality copy editing inputs should improve the clarity, concision, flow and narrative of the document, and should not contain any grammatical errors Ensure that the writing house style is maintained, to ensure overall editorial consistency across projects Design and deliver training initiatives to improve copyediting. This includes development of teaching materials, and the organisation and delivery of workshops to share learning points Provide technical and strategic leadership for a team Design and implement workplace processes, with future trends and needs in mind Plan and guide your team's professional growth, in both general and technical areas Build good relations and workflows with internal and external stakeholders Mentor and develop junior team members to maximise their potential What you will gain: Opportunity to help policymakers achieve more clarity on issues of vital interest to Singapore, by improving the written quality of our papers Opportunity to hone your craft by reviewing analyses on a wide range of issues

What we are looking for:

• At least eight years of working experience either in senior copy editing or writing/vetting papers required, preferably in a government agency or news agency Strong stakeholder management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills Motivated team player, as well as an independent self-starter
