is responsible for establishing, monitoring, and controlling project budgets and cost performance throughout the FPSO or offshore project lifecycle. The role ensures cost accuracy, variance analysis, and financial integrity in alignment with project and corporate objectives.
This position requires strong coordination with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure robust cost management within complex EPCI or FPSO environments.
Key Responsibilities

1. Cost Control & Budget Management
Develop, implement, and maintain
project cost control systems, procedures, and reports
.
Establish the
project budget baseline
based on approved estimates and work breakdown structures (WBS).
Monitor
commitments, expenditures, and forecasts
to ensure compliance with approved budgets.
Identify and analyze
cost variances
, trends, and deviations from planned budgets.
Provide
early warning reports
and recommendations to mitigate cost overruns.

2. Forecasting & Reporting
Prepare
monthly cost reports
, cash flow forecasts, and cost-to-complete analyses.
Interface with project management, procurement, and finance teams to ensure financial accuracy.
Support project management in
forecasting final project cost

Present detailed cost summaries and variance analyses to project and corporate management.

Track and assess
change orders, variations, and scope adjustments
for cost impact.
Update budgets and forecasts accordingly upon change approval.
Support contract and commercial teams with
cost substantiation and claims analysis

teams to ensure cost data accuracy.
Align cost forecasts with

Participate in

Maintain cost control databases and software (e.g., SAP, Primavera Cost Manager, EcoSys).
Support continuous improvement initiatives in

Qualifications & Experience
Education:
Bachelor's degree in
Finance, Accounting, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or related field

Experience:
Minimum
8-12 years of cost control experience

5+ years in offshore oil & gas, FPSO, or EPCI projects

Proven experience managing multi-million-dollar project budgets.
