Join us on a transformative journey as a DevOps Engineer in GovTech\xe2\x80\x99s Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Division (DSAID). In this role, you will contribute to the building and upkeeping of our comprehensive data infrastructure platforms which serves the Whole of Government to fuel evidence-based decision-making and enhancing service delivery across government agencies. We are seeking a proactive hands-on individual with a strong focus on collaboration to spearhead cultural change and to elevate our CI/CD practices, making a meaningful impact along the way.

What you will be working on:

Be the DevOps Subject Matter Expert in the Data Engineering team by defining and evolving Build and Release best practices, ensuring the system compliance to the highest of standards and meeting the requirements for high availability, resiliency, scalability, and security throughout the DevOps lifecycle.

Provide DevOps cloud architecture implementation, operation support and documentation.

Mentoring and guiding junior team members, whilst fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement

Develop, operate, and manage continuous integration and deployment pipelines, as well as centrally hosted components including system monitoring tools of performance, utilization, and health.

System troubleshooting and problem solving across platform and application domains.

Collaborate with operations and data engineers to design, develop, optimize, and implement scalable features for higher developer productivity, environment monitoring, self-healing, and autonomous delivery.

What we are looking for:

Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent.

Practical Experience automating software development and deployment processes in a Data Engineering context including but not limited to

Automating data processing tasks

Managing data infrastructure

Monitoring and diagnosing data pipelines and infrastructure

Good understanding of DevOps, Agile Methodology, ITIL, modern application development, virtualization and networking concepts, infrastructure security and compliance.

Strong knowledge and experience in DevOps automation, containerization and orchestration using tools e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.

Cloud computing deployment and management experience (preferably AWS/Azure/GCP).

Strong scripting skills such as Python, Bash, JavaScript, and excellent Git workflow knowledge (e.g., GitLab/GitHub).

Experience with patch maintenance, regression testing and security incident response.

Proven track record of setting up, maintaining, and automating CI/CD pipeline e.g., Bitbucket, Bamboo, CodePipeline.

Deploy and manage monitoring tools of infrastructure performance, utilization, and health e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.

Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, able to interact professionally with all levels of the organization.

Experienced in leading infrastructure procurement and implementation in government sector is an added advantage.

AWS DevOps Engineer (Professional), AWS Solution Architect (Professional), Hashicorp Terraform (Associate) certifications is an added advantage\xe2\x80\x8b.

Have the technical skill to review, verify and validate the software code developed in the project.

Worked for Government agency before is a bonus.
