DESIGNATION : Senior DevOps Engineer - ILMN

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain and extend the code base for an on-market SaaS genomic application extending the capability, improving robustness and quality, and optimizing for performance.
• Develop solutions to drive optimization of cloud operations around cost management, time to market, security and privacy, and delivery of worldwide capability.
• Apply state of the art cloud best practices to deliver toward operational objectives, including:
  • Stateless applications
  • Analytical automated logging, diagnostics, and optimization
  • Automated \xe2\x80\x9cone click\xe2\x80\x9d creation of new geographic AWS enterprise application instances
  • Application autoscaling
  • Automated testing of global cloud instances
• Expertise in administration, configuration, optimization, and monitoring of Linux at scale

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Computer Science or others IT related discipline
• Experience with Production SAAS (Software as A Service)
• Programming skill for scripting \xe2\x80\x93 Python, Go, Ruby, Bash, or other scripting language
• Familiar with Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu, or Amazon Linux
• Solid understanding of networking, network routing, and trouble shooting
• Experience with monitoring tools - Splunk, ELK, cloud watch, cloud trial, etc.
• Experience with Public (AWS, Azure, etc.) or Private cloud-based deployment and support.
• Experience with container system - Kubernetes, ECS, EKS, Fargate, Vagrant, etc
• Experience with automation tools - Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt, Terraform, CloudFormation
• Able to use large-scale data processing tools such as Hadoop, Elastic Search.
