ABOUT THE ROLE Alumni is looking for an individual to fulfil both an internal and client facing roles. The role will be complex and require a high degree of flexibility as well as a strength in decision making and problem solving. WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

• DevOps

o Understanding customer requirements and project KPIs o Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure o Planning the team structure, activities, and involvement in project management activities. o Managing stakeholders and external interfaces o Setting up tools and required infrastructure o Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation o Have the technical skill to review, verify, and validate the software code developed in the project. o Troubleshooting techniques and fixing the code bugs o Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage o Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible o Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management o Incidence management and root cause analysis o Coordination and communication within the team and with customers o Selecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD tools o Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline ( CI/CD Pipeline) o Training, Mentoring and guiding the team members o Setting up Terraform (and other Infrastructure as Code environments) o Monitoring and measuring customer experience and KPIs o Managing periodic reporting on the progress to the management and the customer

• Client Facing Consultant

o Participate in billable consulting engagements leading and delivering on technical engagements including architecture, cloud migration, product ownership and product implementation.

MANDATORY CHARACTERISTICS

Software and Consultancy Experience

• 10+ years experience in Software Development

• 8+ years’ experience in DevOps

• 8+ years’ experience working with a cloud transformation organisation

• Solid experience working within cloud transformation

• Experience of taking personal accountability for transformational outcomes

• Experience of operating model, enterprise architecture, and/or process transformation

• Deep architecture knowledge across Applications, Data and Technology

• Deep experience in both design and delivery

Delivery Focus

• Experience in delivery within a Scaled Agile environment

• Experience of change management as it relates to DevOps mindset

• Experience of embedding and/or running DevOps capabilities

• Proven experience operating both strategically and tactically operating successfully with both C-Suite and operational staff

Accreditations

We highly value technical and professional accreditation and looking for candidates who have invested in their career with some or all of the following

• AWS / Azure certified Architect

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator

• Microsoft Certified Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer

• Hashicorp certified Terraform Associate DevOps

• Bachelors Degree (IT or engineering) or equivalent

• Any other post graduate certification - from any discipline
