Job Description

:We are seeking a Senior Director / Director to join us and lead the Engineering department, which oversees the key engineering systems and services that span across the Gardens, including air-conditioning, mechanical ventilation, fire safety, electrical, water reticulation, drainage and irrigation, interpretative media as well as building and structural maintenance etc.You will strategise and oversee the physical planning, facilities management and engineering-related projects of Gardens by the Bay. These include managing design reviews, project management, procurement, implementation of infrastructure projects, facilities management and operational planning. You will establish strong partnerships with professional stakeholders to facilitate enhancement and maintenance work, including safety, security, health, work environment as well as maintenance of buildings, equipment, machinery and its modifications to facilitate the operations of the Gardens.Positioning as a Garden for the future, a world leader in environmental engineering and sustainability; you will also be called upon to source for innovative and cutting edge technologies; both to support the Gardens\' operational work as well as to introduce new edutainment attractions to delight our visitors as a horticultural and landscape wonder.You will manage and look into continuous enhancement and renewal of the overall lightings in the Gardens, including the outdoor gardens, Conservatories, Supertree Grove as well as the Garden Rhapsody; to provide an interesting, exciting, safe and wholesome experience for all visitors at the Gardens.You will also develop a total risk management plan for all Gardens\' assets and operations; with effective mitigating solutions to respond successfully to any crisis or incidents that may arise within our high visitorship public Gardens.Qualifications:

• Degree in Building, C&S, M&E Engineering, Estate and Project Management, Quantity Survey or equivalent
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience leading a team in an operational environment / industry
• Good knowledge in construction, facilities, maintenance and asset management
• Keen eye for innovation and aesthetics to support the Gardens\' longer term goals as an international themed attraction
• Excellent management, supervisory, communication and leadership skills as well as ability to lead teams of diverse professionals to drive our core business as a horticultural attraction going forward
