UMPG is looking to expand the global finance organization and hire a Senior Finance Director - APAC. This role partners with the President UMPG APAC to drive growth in the region. Key responsibilities in this position focus on financial analysis of the APAC results and budgets and delivering summaries of those results to management and the global finance center. The Senior Finance Director will coach and functionally manage the UMPG finance teams in the regions. Other responsibilities include analysis and research into the regional music/publishing industry and trends in the publishing revenue landscape, as well as analysis of new investment opportunities. This job will be based in Kuala Lumpur or Singapore.
Job Functions:

• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of APAC consolidated financial results for monthly/quarterly actual, forecast and budget reporting, as prepared by territory finance teams
• Identify and analyze variances within results to gain a thorough understanding of drivers and outliers
• Assist in the preparation of business / variance commentary for regional, and global senior management on monthly basis
• Coordinate the preparation of the annual budgets with the territory finance staff and present consolidated regional results to global senior management
• Assist territories with financial modelling for new artist spend and investment
• Assist territories and UMG organization with due diligence for acquisitions and subsequent tracking of performance
• Coordinate timely reporting and ad hoc request with the regional financial service center

Skills/Experience/Education:

• At minimum Bachelors' degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting, CPA preferred
• 12-15 years experience working in a corporate environment within a finance or accounting role, public company preferred
• Deep understanding of financial statements
• Be able to work in a fast paced, deadline-fueled environment
• Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate in Mandarin advantageous but not a must.
• Ability to keep information confidential and uphold integrity
• Ability to regularly travel to territories for in person meetings
• Advanced experience working with Excel
• Prior experience with data analytics or tools a plus
• Experience in the music/ entertainment is a plus
• Experience working with Hyperion, BPC or SAP is a plus, but not required
