About this opportunity

The Sr. Director for Marketing, South Asia (SEA and India) will direct and oversee all marketing efforts in the countries he/she is assigned. The individual will plan and coordinate critical processes related to business planning, strategic marketing plans, portfolio management and development, new product launches, business performance tracking, and multi-channel marketing.

The incumbent will meet regularly with commercial leadership to establish direction, priorities, goals and targeted objectives, participate in the strategic planning process and portfolio planning, and partner with the regional marketing team to launch new products in the assigned region and ensure alignment with global launch strategy. The incumbent is responsible for execution of country product launches including sales forecasting, customer targeting, and coordination of regional & national trainings.

The incumbent\xe2\x80\x99s responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Develop business plans, product positioning and budgets for the Marketing department in support of business objectives achievement;
  • Direct and manage a range of professional and consumer marketing-oriented projects;
  • Oversee the analysis of reports tracking the growth of the business, including forecasting of forthcoming business trends and post-sales activities;
  • Develop and lead marketing efforts in collaboration with cross function teams and regional marketing team;
  • Interact with professional customers through company channel marketing programs;
  • Develop and implement all marketing activities, including all professional, practice and creative development, collateral materials, localization, translation and distribution, and adjustments to local markets needs and laws;
  • Provide evaluation of marketing situation and plan for capacity to meet future growth
  • Develop short- and long-term plans and budgets, monitor progress, assure adherence and evaluate performance.
  • Establish and support a culture that encourages collaboration and inclusiveness across the various functions, and ensure all marketing communications are coordinated, support marketing plan objectives and are an effective expenditure of resources.
People Leadership: * Attract, develop and coach team members to ensure a strong talent pipeline.
  • Build and strengthen marketing capability in assigned countries.
  • Be an active member of the assigned countries\xe2\x80\x99 leadership team and APAC Marketing leadership team, providing insight and input as part of business reviews and related activities.
Customer Excellence: * Develop strong relationships with key customers and opinion leaders. Develop key relationships with thought-leaders and relevant key opinion leaders in the region.
  • Keen understanding of the issues including but not limited to clinical issues, competitors, pricing, competitive strategies etc. Represents the company at customer facing events such as educational forums and customer meetings.

  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree is required. Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 15 years of related work experience is required, Experience in a commercial capacity, i.e., sales, marketing, business development or general management is an advantage
  • Strong track record of people management is a must
  • Experience with Marketing Excellence/Mastery, including Launch Excellence principles is required. Experience in product development including needs assessment, portfolio management and product lifecycle management is preferred.
  • Strong business partnering skills and collaboration across multiple groups and organizational levels (internal and external) and excellent verbal and written English and Chinese communication skills are required.
  • Excellent influencing skills and ability to develop customer relationships is required.
  • This position may require up to 30% travel including both domestic and/or international
