Imperium Commodity Search is retained by a global investent grade brokerage and financial institution with an established brokerage division in Singapore. Through sustained growth, our client is in a strong position to further expand their energy brokerage offering in the region with excellent prospects for brokers with a book of business in the oil, gas, renewables, carbon and LNG space. With a wealth of cross-sell and upsell services, our client is well placed to offer a profitable and equitable position for experienced and successful energy brokers in a range of asset classes.
Our client has a dynamic approach to the commodity markets with leading technology supported by multiple divisions allowing their Brokers to cross sell and up sell throughout the business offering a full range of brokerage services (Risk management, Clearing, 24hr Execution desk, Hedging solutions, DMA, consulting & advisory etc) which has enabled them to be one of most successful FCM/IDB's in the Energy space. Currently our client is growing in a number of energy asset classes across execution, clearing and risk management/hedging for both corporate and institutional clients and there is interest in candidates from all energy brokerage backgrounds.
Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing a product group within Physical or Derivative Energy (Listed Futures/Swaps/Options), growing this business into a well-established X-Energy business
• Manage relationships with both corporate and institutional clients in the Singapore/APAC region across energy execution (oil, gas, emissions, coal, carbon, renewables, environmental, LNG, LPG, NGLs, crude, petchems etc.)
• Provide Voice/Electronic execution services, whilst upselling and cross selling the company's brokerage services (24hr execution desk, clearing, risk management, tailored hedging solutions)
• Produce up to date market / Pricing analysis liaising within in house Analysts and research houses (Bloomberg, Reuters, Argus etc) providing reports, market insights to customers in the alligned energy space.
• Understanding energy derivatives and instrument's covering Futures, Options Basis, Swaps contracts and the fundamentals of Hedging/Risk management behind these contracts and markets.
• Identify new business opportunities whilst managing key accounts within the relevant Energy, Oil, Gas or Renewables market

Experience:

• 5+ years' experience in a Senior Energy Brokerage position with a IDB/FCM with exposure to Futures/Swap/Options/Listed contracts.
• Transferable portfolio of execution business within an Energy or Enviro/Renewables product area
• Excellent knowledge of the trading area of your book within energy with a good understanding of market movements and trading mechanics
• Proven record of developing profitable business within the Energy Brokerage markets exceeding 500k USD revenue per year
• Ability to drive further revenue through cross-sell and upsell of products and services within energy brokerage, clearing, execution and sales
