Technology transfer and taking over the ownership for the modules developed by other R&D sites
Understand the modules functions, design concepts, testing and debug methodology, servicing requirements, etc.
Review design, test and build documentations, identify the potential risks and issues
Participate in prototype build and test
Take ownership and drive the issues to closure
Continuous machine development and improvement
Understand the requirements and define the design specs
Analyze and resolve design challenges
Work closely with other functional team (electrical, software, process, etc.) to meet design specs and module performance
Work closely with production/NPI team to support and resolve machine build issues
Work closely with field team to support and resolve machine issue at customer sites.
Understand failure mode, guide field team for trouble shooting
Identify the potential design/machine build issues and drive the improvement.
Requirements
Bachelor degree and above in Mechanical/Mechatronics engineering or equivalent
Minimum 5 years relevant working experience
Knowledge and experience in high precision electro-mechanical system and machines design, including sensors and actuators, vibration and control, engineering materials, etc.
Knowledge and experience in structural dynamics and servo control of precision machine motion systems that operate with micron-level accuracy
Knowledge in thermal, fluid and pneumatic systems
Experience and fluency with 3D CAD software packages; familiarity of Solidworks and EPDM, as well as, Siemens TeamCenter is a plus
Knowledge on C++, Matlab, etc. for test scripts development and data analysis will be added advantage
Be able to travel overseas to customer sites and company’s other R&D sites
Knowledge in semiconductor packaging machine will be a plus
Experience with cleanroom standards and very low particle generation will be an added advantage
Experience in project management/planning and team leadership is a plus
