Job Description

What the role is:You will be part of the team to manage the planning of infrastructure for timely development so that network delivery capacity is able to meet the demand efficiently and reliably in order to create the best value for the Board and its customers.What you will be working on:Your job role will include: \xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies of projects with the project involvement from planning stage by officers from Network Construction Division (NC), Network Services Division (NS) and Network Optimisation Division (NO), to provide a holistic planning taking into account of design, construction, operation and maintenance requirements of the pipelines and service reservoir structures. \xe2\x80\xa2 Consult and liaise with internal & external parties to identify and firm up pipeline routes for project implementation. \xe2\x80\xa2 Carry out system designs of pipelines (including the siting of control valves) and service reservoirs (including the layout of tank structures with adequate space for construction of access road and laying of pipelines and other services), are practical and robust in meeting operational and maintenance requirements, and complying with relevant national standards and codes of practice. \xe2\x80\xa2 Determine preliminary project cost estimate, timeline and budget phasing to ensure the funding is adequate, planned timeline is practical and project is able to be delivered on time, and sufficient contingencies in the cost estimate are provided to avoid the need for seeking re-approval by management due to higher tender prices. \xe2\x80\xa2 Seek CAPEX budget for updating in WIMS for projects to be implemented. \xe2\x80\xa2 Seek approval and budget funding for proposed transmission water pipelines, service reservoir and booster station projects. \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor project progress to remind relevant parties on timely completion of projects according to the year of completion shown in the Project Evaluation Panel (PEP) paper and project approval papers.What we are looking for:

• Degree in Engineering \xe2\x80\xa2 Independent, result oriented and self-driven team player with good communication skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Candidates with relevant working experience may be considered for the position of Senior Engineer
