Job Description

We are looking for a Test Engineer, Functional Test to join our team and take responsibility for test development and support throughout various stages of the product lifecycle. Your role will involve designing and implementing manufacturing test solutions for new product introductions, equipment replacements, and engineering changes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, create test plans and specifications, develop test code, design test fixtures, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Additionally, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and provide training and support to operators and maintenance personnel.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in the evaluation of new product designs and provide feedback on testability and coverage requirements.
• Develop test plans, specifications, and timelines to deliver cost-effective test solutions on schedule.
• Design, develop, and implement software using tech such as C++, C#, NI TestStand, or PLC for production test equipment.
• Assist in the development and implementation of departmental objectives and production/test strategies.
• Manage project financials and timelines to meet project deliverables.
• Develop procurement and installation strategies for test-related capital equipment.
• Design electrical circuitry, select components, and work with vendors to develop test fixtures.
• Create and release documentation, including manufacturing test plans, specifications, test coverage, and procedures.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma tools for test equipment qualification, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and effectively communicate project status and action plans.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Electrical Engineering Technology (EET), Electrical Engineering/Computer Science (EE/CS), or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience as a test engineer in a team-oriented project environment, including test equipment design and development for production.
• Experience in software development using tech like C, C++, C#, NI TestStand is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret electronic circuit schematics and bills of materials (BOM).
• Knowledge of electronic hardware and excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

TRAVEL:

• Some travel required, typically up to 10%.
