Role Overview

The Edge Contracting Services is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer - Network & Security Systems to join our team on a 1-year contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, and support of enterprise networking and security infrastructure. This role requires expertise in managing Cisco & Arista network switches, Palo Alto firewalls, Forescout EyeInspect, and Aruba Wi-Fi solutions to ensure a secure, reliable, and high-performing IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco and Arista network switches in enterprise environments. Administer, optimize, and secure Palo Alto firewalls, including policies, VPNs, and threat prevention features. Deploy, manage, and monitor Forescout EyeInspect for network visibility, segmentation, and device security. Design, implement, and support enterprise Aruba Wi-Fi infrastructure, ensuring coverage, performance, and security. Conduct routine network performance monitoring, capacity planning, and issue resolution. Apply security best practices across all networking and security platforms. Collaborate with IT and business teams to deliver resilient, scalable, and secure network solutions. Document designs, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Provide 3rd-level technical support and lead troubleshooting efforts for escalated incidents. Participate in IT projects, network upgrades, and new technology implementations.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience). 3-5 years of professional experience in network engineering and security operations. Strong expertise with:

Cisco & Arista network switches (configuration, VLANs, routing, redundancy, etc.)


Palo Alto firewalls (rules, NAT, VPN, security profiles, threat protection)


Forescout EyeInspect (visibility, NAC, segmentation, device compliance)


Aruba Wi-Fi solutions (deployment, access control, troubleshooting)
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, etc.), and network security principles. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with ability to work under pressure. Effective communication and documentation abilities.
