Our client is a leader in the technology infrastructure industry. It is seeking to employ an experienced professional to join them as
Senior Engineer (Server and Database Administrator (Ref: KHXXXX)
The Senior Engineer is responsible for technical support on various technical issues and problems relating to hardware and software as well as network connectivity in the organization, managing and monitoring all installed system and infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
The Job
xefx82xb7 Provide technical support and administration on Windows 2012 / 2016 / 2019 /
2022 Server, Microsoft Active Directory/ADFS/DNS/DHCP, Office 365, Red Hat
Linux Servers and AWS (Amazon Web Services) Cloud Environment.
xefx82xb7 Design, install, configure and maintain Oracle and MSSQL database systems,
including monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting issues.
xefx82xb7 Installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application
software and system management tools, including system and file restoration (if
required).
xefx82xb7 Monitor (and respond to) all system alerts and provide daily technical support in
terms of troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and other
network and system problems.
xefx82xb7 Collaborate with the Cyber Security team and perform regular system and security
patches on a timely basis.
xefx82xb7 Perform ad-hoc root cause analysis and problem resolution.
xefx82xb7 Coordinate with the IT Infrastructure and Operations Manager on system capacity
planning and management.
xefx82xb7 Monitor IT tickets and provide appropriate resolution on a timely basis.
xefx82xb7 Ensure and follow standard IT service delivery processes in accordance with IT
policies and procedures.
xefx82xb7 Assist on the coordination of internal and external IT audit for the IT Infrastructure.
xefx82xb7 Assist his/her immediate superior in defining the methods for issue resolution and
prevention.
xefx82xb7 Perform other duties as assigned.
The Candidate
xefx82xb7 Diploma/ Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or equivalent
xefx82xb7 At least 5 years of relevant working experience in system administration and cloud
operations.
xefx82xb7 AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Microsoft Certified System Engineer
(MCSE), and Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE).
xefx82xb7 Strong knowledge on VMWare
xefx82xb7 Strong knowledge on Windows Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Office 365.
xefx82xb7 Oracle and MSSQL Database management knowledge is required
xefx82xb7 Must be independent and proactive.
xefx82xb7 Good interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
xefx82xb7 ITIL Certification Foundation Level will be an advantage.
xefx82xb7 Be ready to be on standby and perform system maintenance activities after office-
hours, if required.
