Role Overview

As a Senior Engineer and Tech Lead at Seventh Sense, you'll drive the design, training, development and deployment of Face Recognition models (OpenCV FR) and GenAI contextual search and video analytics with face recognition solutions (SenseVantage) on edge/cloud. Additionally, you will own the end-to-end pipeline - from model selection/optimization for Seventh Sense's privacy-preserving eID and face PKI solutions (SenseCrypt).


The role will require hands-on engineering with leadership: mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, shaping product direction, and collaborating with external partners.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the technical development of Seventh Sense's core technologies and products, ensuring adherence to project timelines and high-quality standards. Lead the development of face recognition technology from fresh data collection and synthetic data generation to developing new architectures and experimenting with next-generation methods that push performance boundaries. Integrate computer vision models (face recognition, detection, tracking) and LLM-powered technology (natural-language alerts, multilingual search, context-aware detection) into SenseVantage product. Lead the architecture and delivery of real-time video analytics pipelines. Build and maintain inference services such as OpenCV FR. Mentor engineers across CV/ML, backend, and frontend; lead technical interviews and grow the team. Partner with Product, Security, and Compliance to ensure our privacy-preserving eID and Face-PKI solutions meet reliability, scalability, and security goals. Contribute to technical roadmaps, PoCs, and event demos with customers, integrators, and government stakeholders.

Requirements

5+ years of hands-on and deep experience in computer vision, machine-learning, and LLMs. Minimum 2+ years of direct development exposure to face recognition technology. Experience in DevOps, including Git, CI/CD pipelines, and best practices in deployment and automation. Strong interest, coupled with mathematical skills to understand cryptographic protocols and systems, including post-quantum cryptography and its implementation. Strong backend skills in Python and microservices; proficiency with containerization and CI/CD. In-depth knowledge of hardware acceleration. Demonstrated model optimization work (e.g., quantization, distillation, ONNX/OpenVINO/TensorRT/Etc.), balancing accuracy and throughput. Experience with vector search and feature indexing for large-scale face/embedding retrieval. Hands-on experience in full-stack development, with proficiency in at least one modern frontend framework (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) and experience with mobile development Excellent collaboration, communication, and code-review habits; comfort leading cross-functional initiatives.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with NIST/FRVT benchmarking and testing. Experience working with AWS cloud services for scalable AI and machine learning deployments. Knowledge of Rust programming language. Understanding of cryptographic protocols and systems.
