Senior Engineer, Technical Support

Work Location: Yishun

$4500 to $6000 depends on experience

Working Days: 5 Days // 8am/8.30am - 5.30pm/6pm

Role:

The Senior Technical Support Engineer is responsible for 1st and 2nd level support to local customers, regional and global level escalation support on company\'s Solution equipment. The candidate will need to follow up with open issues until they are resolved, communicate solution to regional service teams and/or customers. The candidate will primarily be performing SMT equipment installation, hotline management and field servicing which includes escalation support to customers in Rest of Asia.

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical/Electronics/ Mechatronics Engineering
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in SMT field
• Knowledge in basic project management skills will be advantageous
• Experience in SMT Process and Applications in manufacturing and production environment will be advantageous
• Experience in leading a team is a plus
• Able to travel on short notice

Responsibilities:

• To perform machine installation, commissioning, on-site training, production monitoring
• To act as 2nd level regional support to internal and external customers on all aspects of service activities
• To respond to customer or regional service call and attend to problem at customer site when required
• Provide on-site training to customers, or internal customers as a specific technical product champion
• Other technical related activities specific to our SMT Solutions offerings
• To conduct product (hardware/software) training for customers and internal field service engineers
• To formulate training courses, contents and materials at global level in course development as a project team leader/member. Standardise scope of training and deliver in a professional manner
• To develop and conduct refresher training for trainers and field service engineers
• Continuous improvement and developing new ideas and technology on product training delivery that add value to our customers
