Design and where necessary develop application tooling solutions to run customer applications with optimal performance, high precision automated semiconductor assembly (bonding) equipment. Ensure that application tools comply with customer requirements. Perform tooling quality checks per quality system requirements Maintain and optimize quality assurance system to guarantee application part quality before shipment. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to define adequatetooling solutions for the various machine platforms and assembly processes. Where required work with subject matter experts to analyze problems and develop new tooling solutions Research, develop and improve design & manufacturing processes and methods for application tooling. Collaborate with suppliers to optimize parts cost and lead-time Create and maintain design guidelines and selection rules for application tools and build tooling catalogue Interface with Supply Chain, Engineering, Marketing and field operations to ensure smooth and effective delivery of application tooling to the field. Requirement Degree in engineering, Masters with Mechanical or Mechatronic concentration preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience with a proven record in end-to-end product development of complex mechanical systems 3D CAD design and GD&T knowledge NX / TeamCenter is a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Multi-disciplinary skill set ' ability to interface with process, mechanical and software engineers Ability to work in a highly collaborative, multi-site, matrixed engineering environment Experience and familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and materials. Experience with quality assurance (QA) and quality management systems is a plus Advanced knowledge of machining processes and material science and coatings is a plus Take ownership and drive projects and issues to closure by strong initiative and persistence Effective verbal & written communication skills, a positive attitude, an open mindset and a team-oriented nature
