What the role is
As an Engineer/ Senior Engineer in the Catchment and Waterways Department's Project Management Unit / Reservoir Management division, your main roles and responsibilities would include but not limited to:
What you will be working on
• Manage raw water infrastructure projects according to specifications, monitor budget expenditure and schedule • Seek funding for projects including putting up proposals for approval • Call and award tenders for preliminary studies, consultancy design and supervision, as well as the construction works • Coordinate, consult and obtain approval from other stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of projects • Work together with the consultants and contractors throughout the duration of the project • Manage the implementation of safety measures including ensuring Contractor's compliance with WSHA • Manage submission of progress or incident reports to management • Manage public engagement and ensure timely response to public feedback on issues during project implementation • Review and apply best practices for project management and implementation
What we are looking for
• Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering • Candidates with relevant experience project management, preferably in water infrastructure are preferred • Good interpersonal, communication and writing skills • Independent, result-oriented and self-driven team player • Able to attend to work on weekends and after office hours when required
