DESIGNATION : Senior Engineer/Principal Engineer, Commissioning (Expansion Project)
RESPONSIBILITIES Job Summary: We are looking for a highly organized and structured Facilities Engineer who will be responsible for the planning and execution of all equipment and systems commissioning, testing and documentation review of new manufacturing factories (factories producing solar wafer, cells and modules), taking HSE, best practices, codes, space management and maintenance into consideration. Must be self-driven, able to think and work independently and able to manage subcontractors effectively. Candidate must be willing to be stationed overseas for longer term, at least 6 months or longer when required. Essesntial Duties: Responsible to develop commissioning and test plan, execute according to plan, and obtain / review / approve documentation from each phase and test, as well as develop open issues list, and follow up for closure. This will be for all types of equipment and systems. Support training and support during handover to operations and maintenance teams. Manage contractors and internal resources, and after execution of project you must execute a lesson learned and document this properly and to implement improvements into next project. Project Phase: -
Participate in concept design and reviews for utility areas, coordination with multiple teams to obtain relevant input to be included in the concept and design, and consider HSE, relevant regulations and codes in the intended country, best practices, space management and maintenance as well as daily operations tasks. Contribute to preparation of technical tendering package for the system and prepare cost estimate and schedule for system.
Work with Contractors to design, review and buy-off designs for Solar Factories (could be for greenfield or brownfield depending on project).
Do reviews underway in project to ensure every detail is correct and as required, prevent over / under design. Participate and contribute to Value Engineering and HazOp. Conduct and own Safe To Operate. Identify and track open issues, checking and ensuring adequate measures for closure of open issues.
Develop commissioning and test plans and documentation, participate in the same and ensure execution according to plan. Obtain documentation, review and approve when appropriate. Develop open issues list and follow up for proper closure. Quality checks on systems and documentation.
Conduct frequent site inspections and attend site meetings to ensure high quality standard work and timely delivery in accordance to schedule and cost.
Review and help develop all required specifications, operating procedure (SOP), working instructions (WI), Failure mode effect analysis (FMEA) and ensure all documentation are properly updated.
Review and help develop and conduct Risk Assessment (RA) for all relevant systems in Facilities.
Meet Cost Budget and schedule without compromise to safety and long-term reliability of the buildings and facilities.
Do Lessons Learned to improve plan, layout and design of future systems. Perform feasibility studies and make recommendation for future expansion plans where required.
Possess excellent hazards/risk assessment and mitigation methodologies and skill sets working on mechanical systems.
Start-Up and Ramp-Up Phase: -
Work with Local team for the following to ensure the relevant system and maintenance of the relevant system is correctly set-up to enable and also to support the following:-
Operations and maintenance of relevant systems in new Solar Factories, plan preventive maintenance for relevant systems etc.
Prepare all required specifications, operating procedure (SOP), working instructions (WI), Failure mode effect analysis (FMEA) and ensure all documentation are properly updated and maintained.
Support general on-site technical & engineering matters relating to relevant systems.
Support to resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
Plan critical spare inventories for relevant systems
Other ad hoc duties as assigned by reporting supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
At least 3 years Relevant experience in facilities Systems for Senior Engineer Position
At least 5 years experience in design and project engineering of relevant systems, including installation commissioning, testing and hookup.
Bachelors in Engineering, Technology or Science, preferably mechanical engineering or process engineering.
Knowledge of engineering software (e.g. Auto CAD) and ability to do shop drawing / update of SLD
Possess good understanding of P&ID & process flow drawings.
Knowledgeable in PLC/HMI/SCADA high level communication interfaces.
Good supervisory and leadership skills.
Strong sense of responsibility, independent and accountability.
Proactive & assertive team player.
Required skill(s): MS Office package, Autocad, scheduling SW.
Strong safety mindset.
Quality minded.
Must be highly organized, structured, self-driven, creative, proactive.
Ability to write and speak fluent English.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and do multitasking.

OTHER INFORMATION
The position holder has full responsibility for Project deliverables and activities pertinent to the Projects, and may execute according to individual project authorizations given in each case. The position holder is accountable for the commissioning and testing for all assigned systems / equipment.
Physically capable to work indoors and outdoors in construction environments.
Candidate must be willing to be stationed overseas for longer term, at least 6 months or longer when required.
