Engine Life Management Team (ELMT) Asia Pacific Team, Aftermarket & Sustainment Engineering (ASE) at Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Principal/ Senior Engineer - Repair Technology role to join our team in support of Technology Development and Industrialization within the Aftermarket Operations Technology Accelerator in this newly created role in the Technology Team. The ASE Technology Team works to develop and implement Technology strategies in the Aftermarket Operations Asia Pacific (AMO APAC) organization.

You will report directly under the Engine Life Management Team APAC (ELMT-APAC) and work functionally for the ASE Technology Team in support of the Aftermarket Operations APAC Business units. You will work closely with the respective business Technology Focal at all regional locations comprised of CAS, ESA, PWCS, TOS (Singapore), CHEC (Christchurch) and SEC (Shanghai) to lead and execute Technology and Transformation initiatives. Our team members are primarily located in Singapore but we work with the Pratt & Whitney enterprise across the world. We conduct studies, benchmark competitors, and develop and implement technologies, filling technical gaps.

Responsibilities:

  • Review Technical Requirements.
  • Create plans to demonstrate in the Technology Accelerator in APAC and deploy technologies Pratt and Whitney Business Units.
  • Develop project plans and budgets to support AMO business case generations to prioritize the key technology development plans
  • Tracking and reporting of Technology Project progress.
  • Work with repair business units, aftermarket and engine centers to best value technologies to support business optimization
  • Identify key technologies with specific use-cases that will reduce those inspection costs/time while capturing data digitally
  • Assisting the Leads in day-to-day changes in schedule, budget and performance.
  • Role would work on multiple funded Projects and plans for future Projects.
  • Present status to Internal and External Customers.
  • Support the repair business units and/or engine centers in deployment of the technologies including data capture
  • Define, procure and install hardware to support automated inspection machines
  • Develop cost savings estimates for the tech data generated through data collected
  • Identify risk and manage risk reduction efforts.
Requirement:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Manufacturing or Quality
  • 7+ years of engineering experience
  • Demonstrated project management and planning skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Onsite position with 10% travel across local and regional sites
  • Experience in various inspection techniques, automated inspection technology and/or robotics is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships
  • Adaptable, curious and interested in learning
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in working across functions, organizations and management
  • Cost and schedule management experience
  • MS Excel proficiency
  • Results-oriented with good problem-solving skills
  • Possess excellent judgement and professional maturity
  • Analytical skills
  • Participation in process improvement efforts
