What the role is:You will be part of the Database Management Unit in the Legislation Division of the Attorney-General\'s Chambers. The role mainly involves the maintenance of Singapore Statutes Online (\xe2\x80\x9cSSO\xe2\x80\x9d) to ensure that legislation published on SSO is accurate and error-free.What you will be working on:Responsibilities: \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure legislation published on SSO is of the highest quality and error-free. \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintain the legislation database which includes research, tracing and correcting data in the database and verifying the versions of legislation loaded on the database. \xe2\x80\xa2 Operate the Legislation Editing and Authentic Publishing (\xe2\x80\x9cLEAP\xe2\x80\x9d) system to support correction of data in the database. \xe2\x80\xa2 Respond to Members of Public feedback regarding the availability and functionalities of SSO. \xe2\x80\xa2 Liaise with external vendors on system bugs and implementation of fixes and enhancements releases. \xe2\x80\xa2 Participate in requirement gathering and User Acceptance Testing for IT systems of any new enhancements prior to implementation. \xe2\x80\xa2 Participate in project or committee work and perform other ad hoc tasks or administrative duties assigned. \xe2\x80\xa2 Prepare and maintain internal documentation, such as user guides, standard operating procedures and other quality records relating to the maintenance of data in the legislation database.What we are looking for:Requirements: \xe2\x80\xa2 Good command of the English language. \xe2\x80\xa2 Meticulous and with an eye for detail. \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong analytical, critical thinking and editorial and proofreading skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good technical aptitude for computer applications (Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, web-based applications); knowledge in XML and HTML will be an advantage. \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 High level of initiative, self-motivated, with good organisational, project management and problem-solving skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 A team player who is able to work independently as well as in a team. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to work with minimal supervision and high level of initiative. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to multi-task, plan and organise work effectively ensuring deadlines are adhered to is key and critical.
