Job Description


What the role is:You will be part of a finance team that manages the Ministry's budget, financial operations and procurement process. You will be providing procurement support to divisions to ensure compliance with policies and processes, as well as to undertake daily procurement activities such as GeBIZ publications. Your role also includes undertaking data analytics work and other projects as assigned. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.What you will be working on:

  • Partner Divisions in the procurement of goods and services Operationalise internal procurement policies to achieve effective procurement that is value for money to the Ministry Work with Divisions to ensure procurement processes are in compliance with Government Instruction Manuals (IMs) and to advise the most appropriate procurement approach Review quotation specifications and evaluation reports Conduct GeBIZ publications Review of outstanding Purchase Order (PO) report on quarterly basis Perform annual procurement analytics and pre-procurement planning
What we are looking for:Job Requirements At least 3-4 years\' working experience in government procurement would be preferred Knowledge of Government Instruction Manual on Finance and Procurement as well as GeBIZ and NFS systems preferred Proficient in MS Office tools and other IT tools (such as analytics) Meticulous, attention to details and good numerical sense Effective written and oral communication skills Good teamwork and interpersonal skills to work well with colleagues and user Divisions Responsible to see through tasks assigned and able to multi-task, work under pressure and independently Ideal candidate should also possess the following key competencies: Thinking Clearly & Making Sound Judgements - Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to support the crafting of sound policy recommendations; ability to grasp timelines, operating context and ground realities.
