Job Description

The School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering is seeking a Senior Executive to manage the laboratory operations and activities. The candidate would also be responsible for providing efficient technical and administrative support for all lab teachings and research activities. Candidate will need to oversee the safety standards in the lab in compliance to ISO 45001 standard.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical and administrative support for all undergraduate and research activities.

Carry out all planned teaching supports of laboratory experiments and projects.

Assist and perform procurement of materials and equipment required for laboratory and research projects.

Laboratory asset management and maintaining proper records for inventory auditing.

Ensure safety practices in the laboratories.

Carry out housekeeping of the laboratories.

Conduct safety risk assessment and safe work procedure (SWP) for all equipment and processes.

Ensure laboratory equipment are properly maintained, safe to operate and in good working condition.

To ensure that lab\xe2\x80\x99s resources is sufficient to function as a teaching/ research laboratory.

Requirements:

Degree/ Diploma in Mechatronics/ Mechanical/ Manufacturing Engineering

1-2 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge of machine elements, engineering design, CAD software, and fundamental manufacturing processes.

Good knowledge and hands-on experience of handing laboratory teaching and research activities.

Knowledge of WSH requirements.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently and as a team.

Self-motivated and resourceful.
