What the role is:
As a Senior Executive/ Manager, Internal Audit (Data Strategy and Analytics) in the Internal Audit Branch (IAB), you will play a key role in developing analytics strategy, implementing analytics initiatives, and fostering a data-driven culture in IAB.
What you will be working on:

• Develop analytics strategy for MOE Internal Audit (IA), and harness data across MOE IA Family and Whole-of-Government (WOG) to enhance audit efficiency and effectiveness o Support the Chief Internal Auditor in maintaining oversight of all IA transformation initiatives, including reviewing performance, identifying opportunities and responding to gaps o Spearhead cross-agency innovation initiatives within the MOE IA Family, assist in IA process optimisation, and leverage emerging technologies to improve data analytics capabilities and information sharing across the MOE IA Family, using tools and WOG systems to improve IA work o Review and enhance the current governance framework, including developing the annual State of Governance scorecard and implementing advanced audit data analytics within the MOE IA Family o Write clean, efficient code for data analysis and model development, translate results into actionable business insights and continuously monitor and optimise model performance by adjusting variables for enhanced accuracy and effectiveness o Manage outsourced IT audits and analytics services for MOE IA Family

What we are looking for:

• Background in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Electrical/ Electronic Engineering, or related disciplines o Preferably 3 years of experience in data strategy and analytics with demonstrated modelling expertise and good understanding of statistical methods and machine learning algorithms o Experience in model validation, testing, performance optimisation, and data science libraries and frameworks would be an advantage o Competent in a variety of data analytics tools such as SQL, R, Python and/ or Tableau o Strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills o Good written and verbal communication skills o Self-driven, results oriented and meticulous individual o Experience in audit, knowledge of business processes as well as the suite of government analytics tools, and those of Government Commercial Cloud tools would be an advantage As part of the processing of your application, you may be required to undergo a medical examination that will be fully paid by MOE.
