JOB DESCRIPTION

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Source for required materials, services, and suppliers in the domestic and international market
• Understand purchase requirements and source accurately and efficiently
• Identify global prospective suppliers
• Evaluate tender responses and conduct negotiations with shortlisted suppliers
• Understand market trend and seek to improve cost efficiency
• Managing procurement projects within operations to ensure alignments between costs, commercial needs, and operation execution
• Support and implement supplier category strategies, working in close collaboration with key stakeholders and business functions in executing a structured sourcing process to optimize the value from the value chain
• Working with legal counsel to review and prepare contractual documents
• Ensure that all purchasing activities comply with Company Policies, Procedures and Processes
• Develop and implement procedures and processes, based on best practices, to ensure smooth and streamlined process
• Knowledge in construction, mechanical & electrical engineering industry and power contracts would be an added advantage.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma/ Degree in Supply Chain Management/Procurement/Quantity Survey/Business/ Engineering
• At least 5 -7 years of relevant working experience, preferably in a Procurement Department of the Construction industry
• Knowledge of SAP MM
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• A good team player, and able to work collaboratively to achieve organizational outcomes and timelines
• Able to work independently, with strong negotiations skills, meticulous and analytical with excellent problem-solving skills
• Resourceful, self-starter, hands-on, multi-tasking, and self-motivated individual
• Experience in global procurement for data centre projects is highly desirable
• Knowledge in construction, mechanical & electrical engineering industry and power contracts would be an added advantage
