Job Description


What the role is:

The jobholder supports in the holistic and structured development for civilian officers across the HT to strengthen HT integration and build a strong and competent HT civilian workforce. The jobholder also supports the HomeTeam Civilian Training School to develop civilian professionals who are future-ready and serve as One HT by building a repertoire of core, domain, cross-cutting and leadership skills in civilian officers.

What you will be working on:

1. Take charge of course management and delivery of HT Civilian Milestone Programmes (HT CMPs) [i.e., Civilian Support Officer Course, Step-In, Step-Up and Step-Beyond]. 2. Assist AD PP&D to Refine HT Civilian Training Framework; including working with MHA staff departments and the HT training schools, the HT CTS will set strategic directions in T&L for HT civilian officers. This is to ensure the relevance and effectiveness of training content and enhance the delivery and management of the courses for civilian milestone programme. 3. Assist AD PP&D in the review of HT CMP, develop training roadmaps for civilian officers. 4. Support the course curation and content sourcing for programmes under HT CTS 5. Establish and maintain partnership with training institutions to curate learning initiatives 6. Explore interventions in technology and digitalisation to enable Training & Learning via various platforms

What we are looking for:

a. At least 3 years of working experience, preferably in training and development; b. Trained and experienced in conducting programme evaluation; c. Able to conceptualise training requirements and design training curriculum for the HT CMP; d. Organised, logical and strong planning ability; e. Experience in planning, monitoring training budget and contracts; f. Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation and writing skills; g. Proficient in IT and Microsoft Applications; and h. Good knowledge of trends and issues affecting the law enforcement/security sector would be an advantage.
