Mission Alignment: To drive public awareness, interest, and attendance for ASME's outreach programmes, business missions, and other member-facing activities through targeted and effective publicity campaigns. In addition, grow ASME's online community and engagement by creating and curating compelling content for its social media platforms.
Key Responsibilities
:
Plan and execute tactical publicity campaigns for all events, business missions, and initiatives organised by the Outreach department.
Write, edit, and distribute promotional materials, including event listings and marketing collateral, to relevant channels.
Oversee the association's corporate website, ensuring content is timely, accurate, and engaging. Liaise with external vendors for technical maintenance, updates, and development projects.
Capture high-quality photos and video footage at outreach events and programmes.
Maintain a centralised and organised digital asset library of all photos, videos, and marketing collaterals.
Coordinate with the central Corporate Communications team to ensure all tactical publicity is aligned with overarching brand guidelines and messaging.
Track and report on publicity metrics for all outreach activities, including reach and impact on event registration/attendance.
Manage the association's primary social media channels, developing content calendars and campaigns that align with strategic objectives.
Manage the day-to-day operations of ASME's social media accounts (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook).
Create, schedule, and publish engaging content, including text, images, and videos.
Monitor social media channels for mentions, comments, and inquiries, and engage with the community in a timely manner.
Track and report on key social media metrics, such as engagement rates and follower growth.
Competency Requirements
:
Technical Skills: Event Marketing, Content Management Systems (CMS), Vendor Management, Content Creation, Basic Photography/Videography, Social Media Management, Community Management.
Critical Core Skills: Communication (Intermediate), Planning and Organising (Intermediate), Creative Thinking (Intermediate) and Customer Orientation (Intermediate).
Recommended Profile
:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Marketing.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a publicity, digital marketing, or event marketing role.
1-3 years of experience managing social media for a corporate or non-profit entity.
Demonstrated experience in promoting events and managing website content.
* Excellent writing and interpersonal skills.
