About Us:

Prince George\'s Park Residence (PGPR), an NUS hostel re-established in 2022. Our vision is to be a premier growth-oriented hostel, providing exceptional pastoral care and fostering a resident-centred on-campus living experience. To achieve this, we have a committed residential life team consisting of a Master, Resident Fellows, Residential Life Office, and Resident Assistants. Our collective aim is to create a cohesive and supportive community, embracing residents from diverse backgrounds.

Duties and Responsibilities

As an Executive/Senior Executive in the Residential Life Office, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of various aspects of hostel life. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Student Leadership Programs: Plan and facilitate recruitment, selection, placement, training, and performance appraisal of student leaders within the hostel.
  • Residential Programs: Contribute to the development and execution of residential programs aimed at enriching students\' living experiences.
  • Student Advisory Services: Provide advisory support to students regarding residential programs and activities.
  • Compliance and Disciplinary Records: Support the team in enforcing communal standards in the hostel, contact students on compliance matters, and maintain accurate student disciplinary records in NUS databases.
  • Pastoral Care: Support the Master and Wellness Manager in providing comprehensive pastoral care to students.
  • Financial Management: Handle finance-related matters such as procurement and reimbursement using NUS systems like SAP, Ariba, AP Scan Station, and Concur.
  • IT and Social Media Coordination: Coordinate IT and social media projects, including managing the hostel website and social media pages.
  • Administrative Support: Provide secretarial and administrative assistance, including drafting emails, letters, and reports, managing the Master\'s schedule, and arranging meetings.
  • Query Handling: Attend to queries received in the hostel mailbox promptly and professionally.
  • Logistical Support: Offer timely and effective administrative, logistical, and welfare support to the Residential Life Team.
  • Collaborative Projects: Work with other university offices and residential student groups to manage projects that enhance the residential experiences of NUS students.
  • Student Support Collaboration: Collaborate with Housing Services (HS) on student support, infrastructure-related concerns, housing matters, and facility bookings.
  • Ad-hoc Projects: Handle ad-hoc projects as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
  • A fresh university graduate or diploma holder with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Candidates with experience in website management will be given an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and IT savvy, including familiarity with social media platforms.
  • A vibrant, forward-looking individual who enjoys working with students.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Organized and capable of working efficiently under pressure and with tight deadlines.
