Senior / Executive, Risk Management

Job Purpose

This position will report to Senior Manager, Trains Risk Management, and will be expected facilitate the Trains risk management process for mainly Trains BU, Rail Operations and Maintenance Groups. This is key to ensuring that SMRT Trains continue to provide a safe & reliable railway service and in a sustainable manner to support all the organisational objectives.

The role will also be responsible to assist in the reviewing and updating of all relevant policies and procedures for Trains Risk Management; as well as the necessary coordination with the operational units and reporting to the Management and Board.

Responsibilities

Provide risk advisory and evaluate Trains risk control measures. This includes reviewing and updating preventive controls, mitigation measures.

Proactively identify key risks to Trains deliverables through business environmental scanning and qualitative risk analysis.

Advise Management with analysis and recommendations for risk control efficiency, cost of risks and risk control and improved risk management process.

Maintain and enforcement of all relevant Trains risk management policies and procedures. This includes advise and educate internal stakeholders on Trains risk management policies and procedures.

Serve as key resource to Senior Manager, Trains Risk Management in all matters related to Trains governance and risk management.

Prepare reports and perform secretariat duties at Board, Management and Key Stakeholders meetings.

Provide guidance and support to other team members and the Trains community in the field of risk management.


The position demands strong interpersonal skills to create partnership with business process, control and policy owners, internal audit, and external stakeholders. Able to work independently with positive attitude, dedication and integrity are essential values required of the position.

Qualifications & Work Experience

Degree in any discipline Experience in risk management and any similar role is an advantage

Possess positive attitude and good communications skills with ability to work across functional teams. Strong interpersonal and team working skills Able to work independently and under pressure of tight timeline, self- motivated, resourceful and organized.
