Fulfil Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders of supplies, equipment and services for maintenance and operation of North East line (NEL) and Sengkang-Punggol LRT (SPLRT) and Downtown Line (DTL)
Support all LTA\'s New Rail Financial Framework (NRFF) purchases
Work closely with various Engineering disciplines in formulation of work I material specifications, quotation / tender conditions and other contractual matters
Identify duplications, alternative, manufacturer and OEM sources of the supply as part of purchasing cost saving effort
Recommend end-users to leverage on economies of scale, make-or-buy considerations, blanket or open ordering and vendor performance
Communicate and negotiate with vendors to obtain best terms and conditions with the interest of the organization in mind
Liaise with Legal Team on contract terms, with insurance companies for lost / damaged consignments, recover claims for defective materials supplied by vendors
Build rapport and establish supply and service agreement with major OEMs, suppliers and contractors
Work with other operators for contract amalgamation that will aid to benefit rail in the longer term
Prepare Bid Summary Report and evaluation of bid submissions
Evaluate vendors\' performance and maintain a vendor\'s performance rating system and record
Award purchase order to successful bidder and expedite delivery of materials and services to meet maintenance needs
Support integration and migration between MMS and COMPASS
Any other tasks as assigned by supervisors
Requirements
Degree in Supply Chain / Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Civil / Engineering related disciplines
Possess at least 5 years of working experience in supplies operations of a large firm handling large volume of purchases
Applicants who are Diploma holders of the above-stated disciplines with more years of relevant experience may also apply
Applicants with extensive, strong background may be considered for Assistant Manager position
Familiar with Materials Management System would be an added advantage
Familiar with shipping documents and procedures is preferred
Strong communication, negotiation, organization and planning skills
Self-motivated, resourceful and results-oriented
Able to perform under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Able to commute between 2 depots i.e., Sengkang and Gali Batu for work purposes
