Description

The Senior Executive, Sustainability, reports to the Manager, Sustainability and is a critical member of the Sustainability Team at Income, which reports to the Vice President & Head, Strategic Communications & Sustainabiility. The candidate will work alongside relevant stakeholders (internal/external) to shape corporate strategic intent to mitigate climate risk and build operational resilience, embed sustainability priorities and enhance long-term value creation by integrating ESG principles into business practices. This includes managing Income OrangeAid, the company’s community development platform that support causes that champion the low-income, especially education for children and youths-in-need, seniors and the environment, alongside like-minded partners and stakeholders. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team that will drive INCOME's sustainabiility journey and narrative in the public, as well as to create and own bespoke sustainability-related initiatives, including owning the evolution of internal communications and engagement of staff on sustainability matters and development at INCOME. The candidate’s main scope of work includes: ESG performance tracking & sustainability reporting

  • Oversee the tracking and compiling of ESG performance data, partnering data owners & sustainability consultant(s)
  • Support ESG data analysis and recommendations for further improvement of performance
  • Coordinate sustainability outreach and partnership programmes
  • Research on global and local sustainability practices and trends, peers’ performance, including ESG/TCFD disclosure requirements
  • Support the publishing of the company’s annual sustainability report in accordance with relevant international reporting standard, including writing/editing report copy/content, content/design concept management of the report
  • Drive awareness of ESG/sustainability at Income and rally staff participation at staff engagement initiatives
Implement Income OrangeAid & related programmes/initiatives
  • Coordinate with and partner Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) on Income's flagship programme, OrangeAid Future Development Programme (FDP) – programme roll-out, beneficiary selection and induction, outreach and the annual tax exemption exercise for donors
  • Manage FDP vendor partner to ensure timely liaison with IHLs and beneficiaries to roll out FDP
  • Be the main liaison with MOE and schools on the implementation of IFMIS (Income Family Micro-Insurance Scheme) to drive awareness, track claims
  • Support annual reporting on Income OrangeAid initiatives
  • Is the custodian of the OrangeAid giving governance guideline and oversees sponsorship requests, proposal of philanthropic initiatives, recording and tracking of fund disbursements and approvals
  • Oversee and update OrangeAid website with relevant content (when needed)
Annual Social Impact Tracker
  • Review annual tracker criteria, scope and questionnaire, alongside internal stakeholders
  • Ensure timely implementation of field work and results findings for Management & Board reporting purposes.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies or equivalent, Communications, or Marketing
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in sustainability/ESG and/or related field, including sustainability/ESG reporting is required for this position
  • Experience in reporting standards such as GRI Standards, TCFD, ISO 1400, etc is preferred
  • Good understanding of ESG and how factors impact business operations and investment
  • Oral and written fluency in English required – excellent presentation and communications skills
  • Flair for writing and has a creative eye for conceptualising reader-friendly ESG/sustainability reports
  • Passionate about community development and delivering positive social impact, sustainability and its developments and how companies can be change agents to our collective sustainable future
  • Excellent networking and interpersonal skills; stakeholder management is key to succeed in this role
