What the role is:
Join a dynamic, technology-driven academic library that fosters learning, discovery, and innovation. We are seeking a passionate individual to collaborate with academic teams and students, shaping their engagement with information and emerging technologies.
What you will be working on:
Information & Digital Literacy

• Develop and conduct engaging workshops (online and in-person) for staff and students on the effective and ethical use of library resources and generative AI tools.
• Collaborate with academic teams to develop e-learning content that promotes digital, media, AI literacy, and soft skills.

Resource Innovation & Procurement

• Evaluate and procure library resources that align with curriculum needs and support diverse, personalised learning pathways.
• Pilot and integrate AI-enabled study tools and platforms that enhance teaching and learning experiences, ensuring they meet licensing and integration standards.
• Stay ahead of trends in edtech, AI, and digital resource delivery to enhance the library's impact on educational excellence.

Service Innovation & Operations

• Use data tools to generate actionable insights on learning outcomes, resource usage, and student needs to support evidence-based decision-making.
• Perform counter duties and support library operations after office hours.

Academic Engagement & Collaboration

• Provide research and citation support for staff and students, leveraging AI tools to enhance academic quality and productivity.
• Contribute to campus digitalisation initiatives and Joint Polytechnic Libraries projects.

What we are looking for:

• Tertiary qualification in Library & Information Science with at least two years of relevant experience
• Skilled in generative AI tools, e-learning software, and learning management systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Experience delivering digital literacy programmes for staff and students
• Tech-savvy, adaptable, and service-oriented with a proactive learner mindset
• Effective in both independent and team-based work
• Strong time and project management skills
