If you share our vision and possess the qualities we seek, join us!What you will be working on:You will be part of the Finance team that works closely with our stakeholders within MOT and MOT agencies to evaluate the business case and cost-effectiveness of various initiatives to support the MOT family\'s transport policies and plans. These initiatives include mega transport projects with significant investment amounts that aim to achieve our vision for a world-class and well-connected transportation system both in Singapore and internationally. Your key role is to assess the project worthiness and ensure prudent use of public financial resources, include the following: \xe2\x80\xa2 Work closely with cross-functional teams to assess business case and funding for Government projects; \xe2\x80\xa2 Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate prudent financial practices into the project funding and implementation process; \xe2\x80\xa2 Perform business analytics and financial analysis, present key insights, and make recommendations to support decision-making; and \xe2\x80\xa2 Implement and maintain robust governance controls to ensure compliance with the Government Financial Policies, regulations and best practices; and \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide advice on project governance, budgetary and financial matters.What we are looking for:We are looking for individuals with the following qualities: \xe2\x80\xa2 Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accountancy, Economics or equivalent professional qualification \xe2\x80\xa2 A self-starter who can work independently and be a team player as well \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong written and spoken communication skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Good interpersonal skills and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficient in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel will be an advantageAbout Ministry of Transport:The Mission of Ministry of Transport is to develop Singapore\'s land, sea and air transport sectors so as to enhance our economic competitiveness and quality of life in a knowledge-based economy. MOT oversees the development and regulation of the following sectors: \xe2\x80\xa2 Civil Aviation and Air Transport \xe2\x80\xa2 Maritime and Ports \xe2\x80\xa2 Land Transport Besides providing an efficient and cost-effective transportation in Singapore, it also strives to make Singapore an international civil aviation and maritime centre for the region. The ministry sets the strategic and policy direction while operations and regulatory works are carried out by the statutory boards under its charge. There are four statutory boards which are established by Acts of Parliament: the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), the Land Transport Authority (LTA), the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and the Public Transport Council (PTC). The ministry also oversees the operation of the Transport Safety Investigation Bureau (TSIB).
