Summary


Support the team on fabric Innovation, fabric development & fabric price negotiation Deliver the fabric developments, setting high standards, achieving best quality and consistency, and offering technical support to our suppliers at development stage
What you'll do


Support Sourcing, Innovation and Development of all Fabrics for the Category Work closely with the Category for Price improvement projects and maintain price library for the category Responsible for Fabric Risk Assessment and Fabric Technical Approval at Sampling Stage Create and Maintain Fabric Library Maintain internal record of Development, Sampling and Colour Approvals. Manage adherence to product safety legislation and work with relevant teams to ensure compliance, chemical issues are resolved in line with legislation & policy when necessary. Follow the business calendar timeline to assure the samples are on track Collaborate with cross functional teams and other fabric technologist to drive innovation and conceptual ideas
What you'll need


Bachelor's Degree holder of Technical Education in Textile Science or equivalent with at least 8 years of practical experience in a Buying office. With practical experience of fabric, print and colour development, including production of Fabric With practical experience of applying proven techniques of quality assurance within the textile industry. Good command of written and spoken English Travel overseas for exhibitions is required
