Our client, a well-established organization in the engineering and infrastructure sector, is seeking an experienced and strategic finance leader to oversee and drive the transformation of its finance operations. This high-impact role is responsible for ensuring financial compliance, operational excellence, and delivery of critical finance functions such as payroll, payments, and credit control.





You will lead a team and partner cross-functionally to build robust financial processes, implement internal controls, and support key systems transformation projects. This is a rare opportunity to join a stable, forward-looking organization during a period of operational growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the policies, processes, and delivery of payments, payroll, and credit control functions. Drive improvements in financial operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. Ensure appropriate revenue recognition and monthly accruals. Establish and strengthen internal financial controls; identify and mitigate financial risks. Lead transformation initiatives to enhance the efficiency of finance operations. Manage payroll budgeting and support long-term workforce planning. Lead the implementation and optimisation of finance reporting systems, such as SAP. Present financial analysis and actionable insights to senior leadership.

Requirements

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is preferred. At least 15 years of progressive finance and accounting experience in commercial organizations or professional services firms. Proven track record in managing large-scale finance operations with strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and compliance. Demonstrated ability to deliver strategic insights from financial data. Hands-on experience with financial systems implementation (e.g., SAP) is a strong advantage. Prior experience in regulated industries or asset-intensive sectors (e.g., infrastructure, engineering, logistics) would be beneficial.
