Description:

This role serves as the primary Finance contact fir the Sr. Director of the AMEA (Southeast Asia, Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, India, the Middle East, Russia, and Africa) Regional Marketing team supporting all FP&A related activities. The position will be based in Singapore to better serve the various geographies but will report to the Sr. Finance Manager responsible for total Regional Marketing located in the United States.

Responsibilities:

  • As a Sr. Financial Analyst II, you will be key in supporting the AMEA Marketing organization with reporting and analysis that will enable decision-making and help the organization reach its goals. You will be given a broad range of tasks related to the AMEA region\'s Marketing goals and operational activities.
  • This role will provide you with the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment while supporting a variety of stakeholders within Finance and the Marketing team.
  • Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager of Regional Marketing Finance, this role will provide financial planning and analysis for the AMEA Regional Marketing team.
  • Provide deep insight into marketing spend activity variances with a view to helping AMEA Regional Marketing management understand their impact on overall performance.
  • Support monthly/quarterly close process as it pertains to operating expense management, general ledger reviews, headcount reviews, accruals, and other related processes
  • Review actuals and meet with AMEA Regional Marketing to agree forecast assumptions for monthly forecasting process and ensure accurate inputs into financial system at each forecast \xe2\x80\x9csnap.\xe2\x80\x9d
  • Provide month end reporting and analysis to stakeholders to drive insights and spend management.
  • Actively participate in the preparation of financial reporting package focused on performance related to the Marketing organizations to the appropriate executive management audiences.
  • Assist with Regional Marketing team\'s annual budgeting and long-range platform and strategic planning cycles.
  • Input and maintain Marketing program spend budget in Hive 9 Marketing program planning tool and influence Marketing tool compliance and understanding.
  • Track Marketing headcount and open requisitions and collaborate with talent acquisition teem to forecast hiring timing and cost assumptions.
  • Provide Commercial Regional Finance with visibility to Regional Marketing plans and budgets to ensure awareness of spend and timing.
  • Provide eQBR Financial support for Regional Marketing.
  • Create financial analysis and slides for AMEA Regional Marketing pricing promotion requests.
  • Support financial process for regional inputs on NPI business case revenue assumptions and assist with NPI post launch analysis by customers and segments.
  • Provide revenue and segment analysis and insights for Regional Marketing to influence investment decisions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in Marketing finance in such areas as overall KPI content, as well as help improve forecast accuracy levels etc.
  • Ad hoc financial support analysis in collaboration with Strategy and Partnership Finance teams for M&A or partnerships deals.
  • Perform any other tasks or ad hoc projects as needed.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 8+ years in Finance, preferably working with Marketing or Commercial teams.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP is preferred; exposure to Cognos TM1 is a plus
  • Successful track record of effectively interfacing with Marketing personnel to identify, support, and execute on value-added ideas to improve profitability
  • Attention to details, strong analytical background as it pertains to understanding and explaining manufacturing variances
  • Ability to influence cross functionally and solve complex problems
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required; Must be comfortable working with and analyzing large data files

Experience/Education:
  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a bachelor\'s degree; or 6 years and a master\'s degree; or a PhD with 3 years\' experience; or equivalent experience.
  • CPA/CMA a plus
