About Us

Our Client is an early-stage AI startup on a mission to transform how retail and institutional investors conduct research. By moving beyond traditional search and summarization, we're building intelligent AI agents that help users derive actionable insights from complex financial data.


We're building for curious minds -- people who don't just want summaries, but smarter ways to think about markets.

What You'll Do

As a core member of a lean and highly technical team, you'll have end-to-end ownership across the stack, shaping key product experiences from day one.

Build Across the Stack:

Develop and ship features across the frontend (Next.js, Tailwind) and backend (Python, FastAPI, OpenSearch).

Create Core User Flows:

Implement critical workflows such as chat interfaces, document viewers with context, and model-driven interactions.

Engineer Scalable Services:

Design and maintain backend systems for agent orchestration, RAG pipelines, caching layers, and user telemetry.

Iterate Rapidly:

Collaborate directly with the technical founder to prototype and refine features based on user feedback.

Lay Technical Foundations:

Set up infrastructure for analytics, event logging, and future LLM fine-tuning workflows.

Who You Are

You're a hands-on engineer who thrives in zero-to-one environments, loves solving ambiguous problems, and is excited about building intelligent systems that elevate the way people engage with financial data.

Bonus points if you've ever:

Built dashboards, screeners, or tools for investment analysis or personal finance Followed earnings calls or dug into SEC filings for fun Thought deeply about using LLMs for reasoning -- not just summarizing -- financial content
We especially welcome engineers with an interest in finance, or those eager to speak the language of analysts and investors. Your work will empower users to explore markets with the depth and intuition of a human expert.

What We're Looking For

5+ years of experience in full stack development (senior-level or equivalent); exceptional candidates with less experience will also be considered Strong proficiency in

Next.js

Tailwind CSS

, and modern React development Solid backend expertise with

Python

FastAPI

, and familiarity with

OpenSearch

or similar search systems Practical experience working with LLMs (e.g. OpenAI, Claude, open-source models), vector databases, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines A bias for action: you prioritize speed, ownership, and practical code over perfect abstractions Comfortable working in a fast-moving, high-ambiguity environment -- and excited to shape a product from the ground up
