Arup is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to provide expert consulting services for complex projects across various sectors. In this role, you will leverage your deep knowledge of geotechnical engineering, local design regulations, and construction procedures to deliver high-quality solutions while fostering collaboration across teams. You will manage significant projects, guide junior staff, and ensure the successful delivery of geotechnical projects from conception to completion.
The Opportunity

• Lead and deliver significant and complex geotechnical engineering activities and projects, ensuring accurate planning and resource prediction.
• Coordinate project activities, address conflicts, and monitor progress to meet project objectives.
• Manage and develop project budgets, track expenses, and implement cost control measures
• Prepare comprehensive reports, technical papers, and deliverables, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.

Is this role right for you?

• A degree in Civil Engineering (preferably a Masters in Geotechnical Engineering) with at least 10 years of relevant industry experience.
• Proven track record in managing geotechnical projects and consulting within medium to large infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical design software, including Plaxis, GIS, and gINT, along with relevant industry regulations and standards.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide diverse teams.
• Exceptional communication and report writing abilities, with a knack for explaining complex technical concepts clearly to a wide range of stakeholders.
