Job Summary:

The Incumbent is responsible for overseeing the daily golf operations, including but not limited to maintaining the service standards, ensure operations policies, procedures, controls are in place and proposing new initiatives to maximize the golf operations team to meet financial goals. The Incumbent is required to work closely with the Golf Supervisor to control and maintain discipline and conduct of the Golf Assistants, Golf Service Ambassadors and Golf Housekeeping crew.

He / She should be a detail-oriented team leader with strong guest-centric, business, and organisational skills along with a passion for the game of golf.

Job Responsibilities

Work closely with the Golf Supervisor in relation to job duties of the Golf Assistants, Golf Service Ambassadors and Golf Housekeeping crew. This shall include the conduct and discipline of the golfing operations staff.

• Responsible to train new golfing staff in matters relating to golfing operations
• Ensure clear communication is disseminated to golfing operations staff to promote seamless service to members and guests
• Assist members and guests with their enquires, golf reservations with professionalism; follow up on complaints received pertaining to the incidents or accidents, compile and collate witnesses\' statements from staff on duty and members involved
• Handle golf course incidents
• Monthly inventory control and purchasing (buggy parts, raise works order etc)
• Procurement of golf related items for events
• Administer \xe2\x80\x9cSwing Test\xe2\x80\x9d for golfers who do not have valid golf handicap
• Supervise the registration of golfs at the counter & tee boxes to ensure that the process is seamless and charges are accurately accounted for
• Attend operational meetings when required
• Secondary duties will involve assisting in golf operation duties (lost and found, VIP guests, lightning warning, answering calls, responding to emails)
• Assist with organizing new club events and activities
• Pre and post golf event setup which includes course set up, registration, allocation of prizes, prize presentation, scoring, billing and any other ad-hoc golf event requirements
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

Job Requirements

• Preferably Diploma or equivalent, with minimum 2 years of relevant experience in supervisory role
• Experience/knowledge of golf is preferred
• Pro-active, resourceful; customer service oriented with a can-so attitude
• Possess good interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft applications
• Able to work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
