What the role is:As a Senior Head/ Senior Manager in the University Policy Branch, Higher Education Policy Division, you can look forward to working in a dynamic team involved in the formulation, review and implementation of policies related to the development of the higher education landscape in Singapore, with a specific focus on the university sector. This position will give you an in-depth understanding of the Autonomous Universities (AUs) with opportunities to work closely with a wide range of stakeholders across the AUs and with other government agencies.What you will be working on:

• Formulate, review and implement a wide range of policies concerning the six publicly-funded AUs and the AU sector as a whole to prepare students for work and for life, and further build on the strengths and reputation of the AUs \xe2\x80\xa2 Handle a wide range of university-related policy areas and matters including governance, university admissions, educational pathways, course offerings, student competencies, funding and resourcing, as well as student engagements and activities \xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct longer-term strategic planning of the AU sector to prepare the AUs and students to thrive in the future workplace and world \xe2\x80\xa2 Guide the AUs on the operationalisation of policies and where Ministry-level support is needed, including working with Communications and Engagement Group colleagues on public communications \xe2\x80\xa2 Assess opportunities for international collaborations concerning university education and represent the AU sector\'s interests \xe2\x80\xa2 Support MOE political office holders and senior management in local and overseas engagements related to university education, including on contemporary issues This is an individual contributor role.
