Overall Key Position Objective

The successful candidate will be responsible for partnering with business leaders on their talent agenda by providing analysis, insights and solutions on talent attraction, retention and development to enhance their workforce capability to deliver desired business results and relevance. He/she will also lead the employee engagement initiatives for the Singapore business. This position reports to the Head of Human Resources.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • As a trusted partner to business leaders to offer advice and solutions and ensure HR policies/initiatives are in line with business goals.
  • Provide performance management guidance to line management (eg. coaching, counselling, career development, disciplination actions).
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve working relationships, improve employee engagement, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Partner with TA in the selection of the critical hires for the assigned business units.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and unbiased investigations where necessary.
  • Identify learning needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Provide guidance and input on organisational design, workforce planning, talent management and succession planning for business groups.
  • Acts as an advocate for colleagues and business units to ensure HR services meet or exceed expectations.
  • Lead compensation and benefit initiatives/processes not limited to: group insurance programmes, job benchmarking and salary surveys, performance and compensaiton review, headcount planning and reporting, salary run rates, staff requisitions, HRIS and HR audit, etc.
  • Oversee a HR Executive who is responsible for payroll and part of the HR operational work.
  • Work closely with the FP&A team in the Finance Department to update, troubleshoot and reconcile numbers for the monthly HR cube report.
  • Manage end-to-end employee life cycle activities timely.
