Provide comprehensive interface coordination support across internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment throughout the project execution lifecycle.
Act as the focal point for interface matters between Project Management Teams (PMT), EPIC Contractors, engineering functions, third-party representatives, and host facilities, proactively tracking progress of action items and mitigating potential conflicts.
Serve as a technical liaison for multidisciplinary teams, ensuring clarity and cohesion of design requirements, construction activities, and operational readiness objective
Technical Interface Management
Establish, implement, and maintain a robust Interface Management System (IMS), supported by detailed control procedures, in close consultation with PMT and EPIC Contractors.
+ Develop interface management strategies, objectives, KPIs, and compliance metrics to safeguard delivery against scope, cost, quality, and HSE benchmarks.
+ Anticipate and resolve complex technical and contractual interface issues, particularly those arising in brownfield and greenfield environments, as well as from deviations, design changes, or scope variations.
+ Continuously monitor new and evolving scopes of work (SOW), identifying potentia gaps, risks, and opportunities, and drive resolution strategies to minimize project exposure.
Risk & Opportunity Governance
Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Risk and Opportunity Management Plan, aligned with corporate risk management procedures, tailored to the specific challenges of large-scale offshore projects.
Establish, categorize, and maintain project-wide risk and interface registers, ensuring accurate documentation of risk owners, mitigation strategies, and prioritization based on criticality.
Integrate EPIC contractors' risk registers into the overall project risk framework, ensuring visibility of high-impact risks and alignment with mitigation strategies.
Lead the preparation of standardized risk reporting packages (e.g., Top 10 Risks, risk matrices, open action trackers) to inform senior management and client stakeholders.
Risk Review & Quantitative Analysis
Facilitate structured risk workshops and QRA (Quantitative Risk Assessment) sessions, engaging discipline leads, project managers, and functional heads to validate risks and treatments.
Build and analyze risk models, run cost and schedule QRAs, and generate contingency allocation and breakdown reports to support executive decision-making.
Chair monthly risk review forums, ensuring cross-functional participation and accountability in the tracking, reporting, and mitigation of high-priority risks.
Conduct periodic reviews of risk registers to assess effectiveness of mitigation measures and ensure continuous improvement of risk management practices.
Compliance, Reporting & Audit Trail
Ensure strict adherence to company's risk management standards, corporate governance frameworks, and local authority requirements.
Maintain a fully auditable trail for all interface and risk management documentation, supporting transparent reconciliation during project close-out and post-project reviews.
Provide regular risk and interface status updates to Project Managers, Technical Heads, and the Project Task Force, escalating critical issues in a timely manner.
Drive the achievement of KPI targets related to risk mitigation and interface closure within the agreed timelines, ensuring all commitments are tracked to resolution.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline from a recognized University, higher
degree would be advantageous.
A minimum of (15) years experience in engineering, project management and execution of major and mega Oil & Gas projects in Offshore, of which a minimum of (10) years experience in project management/interface leadership roles with proven track record for major and mega Oil & Gas projects in Offshore.
Experienced in developing and leading effective project interface organizations.
Ability to manage multiple EPIC packages/projects in parallel.
Experienced in the implementation of industry best practices and Company's systems, processes, and standards.
Proven ability to apply sound judgment and analytical skills due to the complex and diversified nature of the position.
