Job Description

• Education: Degree in Engineering, Business, or Insurance.
• Experience: 3-5 years in the insurance industry, familiarity with shipping industry insurance policies added advantage.
• Skills: Well-versed in insurance terms and conditions
• Junior Brokers/Underwriter with shipping experience are welcome
• Salary: $5,000 - 6,500 + VB
• Location: Duxton Hill

Key Responsibilities:Insurance Operations:

• Reporting on insurance cover arrangements, premiums, and recoveries.
• Liaising with brokers for documentation, coverage issues, hull claims, and policy renewals.
• Preparing reports for insurance renewals and coordinating insurance program placements.
• Handling insurance queries and exploring additional cover options.

Contract Insurance Reviews:

• Reviewing policy wordings and contracts to ensure coverage aligns with terms.
• Proposing amendments and arranging additional insurance as needed.

Claims Handling:

• Filing and notifying claims to brokers/underwriters.
• Maximizing claim recoveries by working with stakeholders.

Business Partnering:

• Training stakeholders on timely submission of potential insurance claims.

Data Analysis and Loss Prevention:

• Identifying loss trends and recommending corrective actions.
• Reporting on claims trends and liaising with Average Adjustors for specific claims.

RequirementsRequirements:
