Job Title: Senior International UW Services SpecialistLocation : SingaporeThe Opportunity :By joining the International Programs Department of Zurich Singapore, you will become one of the Business Unit\'s subject matter experts to support the execution and servicing of both our producing (outwards) and receiving (inwards) business, as well as the handling of facultative reinsurance.You will develop partnership and operate as the trusted advisor to Underwriters who are based in Singapore- and Japan-based Underwriters, in particular to support the translation of their underwriting intent into a compliant regional or global insurance program, and safeguard the correct interpretation and application of underwriting practices and procedures.You will collaborate with like-minded colleagues internationally, and support each other to deliver high quality and consistent services across the International Programs from Zurich (IPZ) network.You will also interact with brokers and customers to implement and manage their global programs, as well as to implement the receiving policies for the Singapore-based subsidiaries of multinational companies.Key Responsibilities:

  • International Program management including the handling and resolution of day-to-day issues, performance monitoring, and participating in service review meetings.
  • Manage the International Program servicing end to end operational process and act as an account representative to the customers and brokers in respect of services provided by the worldwide network
  • Communicates directly with customers and brokers in respect of the services provided by the worldwide IPZ network
  • Handles multiple lines of business (Property, Financial Lines, Liability, Marine Cargo, etc\xe2\x80\xa6)
  • Communicates effectively within the IPZ network, and manage and resolve issues related to the international programs (instructions, monitoring, issuance, payment)
  • Meets stipulated timeframes and executes the assigned portfolio with high quality
  • Design and manage an operational action plan in line with operational KPIs while prioritizing on service delivery to the customers.
  • Proactive in escalating potential issues to the relevant stakeholders
  • Investigate and resolve the escalation received from various stakeholders efficiently.
  • Allocate work and provide coaching and guidance to the team to enable the effective service delivery.
  • Monitor operational processes in order to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Resolve technical problems referred from other functions of the business, ensuring an efficient and high-quality service is extended to all customers.
  • Diagnose and provide business solutions for value added services and/or to address customer specific solution management in resolving complaints or handling other service-related challenges
  • Supports underwriters/relationship leaders in enhancing the international program solution as a service and network specialist
  • Prepares and delivers service presentations to broker/customers as required
  • Provides program overviews and statistics by producing reports from the reporting platform
  • Identify and comply with the main principles relevant to legal and regulatory controls that govern standard work practices.
  • Collaborate with finance team to follows up and manages on cash collection
  • Supervise and quality-assure - ensures and maintains data quality and integrity in systems used
  • Perform quality checks on the data entry before information is sent to the network.
  • Lead various projects and monitor and control allocated human and material resources assigned to project work.
  • Ensures the successful completion of projects by maintaining continuing dialogue with various stakeholders during implementation of major projects
  • Performs the reinsurance maintenance and coordination with all internal and external stakeholders, such as preparing and executing premium settlements with facultative reinsurers/captives, maintaining the captive and reinsurance files, performing some quality checks on the reinsurance bordereaux
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Commercial Insurance or equivalent qualification
  • 5 or more years of experience in commercial insurance (insurance companies or brokers), with Property, Financial Lines, Marine Cargo and Casualty insurance is required.
  • Prior experience with international insurance programs and/or captives and/or reinsurance accounting is required.
  • Prior experience to lead, contributes and supports the design, testing and implementation of various operational projects
  • Open minded, ability to work and adjust with people from different backgrounds, countries and cultures
  • Strong analytical and planning skills with ability to effectively manage changing priorities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people in a variety of roles and at a variety of organizational levels.
