Your role

We're looking for a full stack developer to:

• design and implement new highly scalable system capabilities centered around Java based APIs and React based single page apps
• focus on engineering clean solutions reducing complexity, address technical debt and support cloud adoption
• enhance DevOps landscape through highly automated quality assurance, build, and deployment-related tool chains
• translate business requirements (functional and non-functional) into robust, well documented solution designs
• drive excellence and challenge the status quo by speaking up and communicating well both orally and written and with all stakeholders
• collaborate with your team members across locations to drive delivery

Your team

You'll be working in the Product and Market Data Solution agile distributed team delivering a diverse portfolio of applications that provide digital banking clients as well as client advisors, with access to comprehensive real-time information of products and market data. Our culturally diverse team is based in Zurich, Singapore, and India.

Our services contribute to UBS Wealth Management, Personal and Corporate banking businesses with a wide range of investment products tailored to clients across various geographies and all segments. We enable digitalization and globalization of our industry, leading wealth management business.

Your expertise

• excellent understanding of modern web application development by agile team
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with Java
• Java 8 or 11
• Spring 5, Spring Boot 2, Spring MVC
• RESTful API, SOAP Webservices, JPA
• Maven 3
• Oracle DB (PL/SQL is a plus)

• devOps experience, specifically with Git (e.g. Gitlab), build and deployment pipelines, Bash shell scripts, Cron jobs, and traditional programs (gzip, sed, grep, etc.)
• inquisitive personality with the ability to convey technical ideas and concepts to all audiences as well as the confidence to challenge effectively
• understanding of modern front-end application development by agile team, applying test-driven development (e.g. Jest or Enzyme)
• 2+ years of experience with JavaScript, TypeScript with a familiarity of ES6 newer specifications, React, webpack, yarn, npm, grunt, gulp
• experience in Middleware's like Redux Thunk and Redux Saga is a plus
