Job Summary During 2019 Equinix took a significant step in its plan to support the rapid growth of their hyperscale customers \xe2\x80\x93 the establishment of a joint venture to own, run, and develop xScale data centres in Europe. This was an exciting milestone by itself, but it also set out a framework for funding future xScale data centres around the world. In 2020, 2021 and 2022 we continued to invest in the initiative with a JV being established in APAC, and now we are looking to scale our global service delivery in 2023/2024. As a Senior JV Financial Accountant, you will have responsibility for end to end accounting activities for at least 1 JV, and will report to the Hyperscale Business Unit Sr. Manager. This role requires a \xe2\x80\x98can do\xe2\x80\x99 attitude and autonomous mindset with motivation to put their own stamp on the processes and grow with it as the hyperscale strategy grows. Responsibilities

• The Senior JV Accountant uses professional expertise while resolving a variety of accounting matters. Performs monthly accounting close activities
• Provide financial insight of JV in charge and ensure contractual and legal obligations in reporting of JV accounts to investors and local authorities are met
• Work with upstream data owners and cross-functional teams to support accounting activities
• Partner with business and all stakeholders in making sure all transactions are recorded timely and accurately
• Maintain Revenue and Leasing Schedules
• Work with functional teams in reconciliation of fit-out cost
• Prepare related party transactions
• Prepare and reconcile loan amortization schedule
• Interest capitalization rate computation
• Review month end reconciliations and audit schedules for JV in charge; work with functional teams in ensuring all reports are prepared timely and accurately upon month end close
• Manage the timely processing of bank transactions, accruals, capex, revenue and leasing transactions, intercompany transactions and other accounting entries with the team
• Perform monthly Construction in Progress (CIP) percentage complete calculations and reviews
• Month-end accounting activities for a JV or set of JV\xe2\x80\x99s
• Prepares and posts journal entries
• Performs flux analysis as well as ad hoc deliverables
• Perform monthly balance sheet and profit and loss reviews
• Act as the primary point of contact during statutory audits and prepare audit files for both internal and external auditors.
• Executes SOX controls
• Prepares PBC (Provided/prepared by Client)
• Work closely with Tax, Legal, and Treasury departments
• Continuously drive for improvement in quality and efficiency in new processes and systems to enhance the workflow of the team
• Work with an entrepreneurial team spirit
• Supports the partnership with upstream data owners, internal and external auditors, and Global Process Manager to solve a variety of accounting matters

Qualifications

• MSc or BSc in Finance
• Proven years of experience preferred working in Accounting/Financial control role
• Experience with both IFRS and US GAAP is ideal
• Strong communication skills \xe2\x80\x93 both in person and remotely
• Team player with entrepreneurial mindset
• Experience in Oracle, Hyperion, Excel-preferred
